Rarity Dress Makingby ~renegadecow

Rarity Unicorn might find dress making easy, but it sure wasn't easy for me making an automaton of her making a dress. And Opalescence just happily snoozing down there didn't provide much motivation for me at all! But if the third time's a charm, this fourth piece in my pony automaton series is simply charming and that's not just out of my preference for Rarity but simply because she's the best pony. Did I mention that Rarity is best pony?
The figures, stand, and most of the sewing machine plus table are carved out of Philippine mahogany while the gears and small sewing machine moving parts are made of Narra hardwood. The figures are painted with enamel and acrylic for the metallic accents on the sewing machine and protected by clear flat lacquer.
The entire piece measures 7" long, 8 1/2" tall and 3 3/4" wide with Rarity standing at 5 1/2". It took 110 hours to make.

I wasn't sure about favouriting at first, though granted I did really like it. But after watching the video and seeing her with those adorable little glasses and seeing opalesence and and and oh my gosh!!!!! Absolutely love it.

You know, THIS is what season 3 is missing. I wouldn't mind Rarity's criminal lack of screentime except that every time we've seen her it's been her in full-on DIVA MODE!! Where has hardworking Rarity been?
